History::
"What have you decided to name her?" Molly had asked her son and daughter-in-law on the day of their second daughter's birth.
"Terri Noel." Fred had blurted out at the same time Katie replied, "Alessandra Elizabeth."
See, Fred and Katie hadn't really talked about a name for their third born, since they had no idea they were have twins, so each had different answers to Mrs. Weasley's question. The simple question turned into a small argument that ended with Arthur suggesting to combine the couple's names; Alessandra Noel.
She began showing an interest in learning and exploring at an early age. Once she learned how to crawl, Alessa got into everything within her reach. As with most children, her knack for getting into things worsened when she started walking.
Around the age of five, she developed a very strong amusement in reading books of all sorts. This form of entertainment continued as she grew older, even when she was at Hogwarts.
Her parents were so proud when a large barn owl had swooped into their kitchen, bringing Alessa and her brother their Hogwarts acceptance letters. Both had hoped the twins would be placed in Gryffindor since that day, but Alessa knew better. She had read many books on Hogwarts and the four houses. She knew how the Sorting Hat chose a house for each student and she was no Gryffindor.
By Gryffindor, the bravest were
Prized far beyond the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
Loved those of great ambition.
No, she thought herself more of a Ravenclaw, maybe even a Hufflepuff, but definately not a Gryffindor. She was sort of brave and a pretty hard worker, but books and cleverness were her strong point. It was no surprise for her when the sorting had ended and she walked over to the Ravenclaw table, and her brother to the Hufflepuff.
"Plenty of knowledge and a thirst for learning, I see. I can tell you'll be dedicated to your studies, work hard for good marks. Hufflepuff would be good but I better put you in...RAVENCLAW!" The last word, announcing her placement, was shouted to the whole school, but the other statements were whispered into her ear by the hat.
Appearance::
Much unlike her father's flaming red, Alessa had inherited her mother's sandy blonde locks. But unlike her parents', Alessa's fell just past her shoulder in loose waves. "Oh thank goodness, she doesn’t have that bloody red hair." Katie kept saying almost every time she looked at her youngest child and only daughter.
Not that the famous Weasley hair was a bad thing, she just wanted her daughter to look more like the Bell half of them, instead of being exactly like the many Weasleys.
In fact, Alessandra didn't look anything like Fred. His eyes were green, whereas hers were a soft chocolate brown. She hadn't received any of the freckles that most of her father's family had, which ,in her opinion, was a good thing. She didn't think her slightly tanned skin would look any better with freckles dotted across her nose and cheeks.
Much to her dislike, she stood at barely five feet tall, probably shorter than any of the other students in her year. She loathed being short, though it did have it's advantages. She was not easily noticed by the tall people around her.
Growing up in a house with plenty of guys and not so many girls, Alessa isn't really girly, like most of the other females she knows. She occasionally wears skirts and dresses, but prefers a pair of form-fitting jeans and a nice shirt.
In the summer she can usually be caught wearing a t-shirt of some sort; some times tight, sometimes loose, depending on her mood. As for the colder days of winter, a sweater is more preferable. Her choice of shoes is no different from any of the other students at Hogwarts; a plain pair of trainers, though she tends to wear sandals for special occasions or when she is feeling lazy.
Personality::
[/b]Unlike her older cousins, Alessandra is pretty quiet most of the time and prefers books over pranks. Being one of the youngest of a large household, it was hard to get noticed, so she gave up and kept to her books. Unfortunately, her shyness hadn't blessed her with too many friends, which was something she hated, but had gotten used to.
You'd think that being part of one of the largest families in the wizarding world she'd have plenty of people to talk to, but when you are just one of at least twenty or so you sort of get pushed to the side, unnoticed.
See, there were all the adorable younger family members, the older ones that had achieved great things, the talented Quidditch players, and the half Veelas. What was Alessandra? The short, quiet Ravenclaw. Not much to brag about, eh? The only thing she thinks the least bit special of herself, she keeps secret in fear of what would happen if someone were to find out.
The young teen might not have very many companions in human form, but she considers her books as some of her best friends. They are always there, giving her knowledge and never complaining about anything. Who cares if she has a large variety of real friends? She adores the ones she does have and is always there for them when needed.
Though she is a shy girl that seems innocent and sweet, she has a small dark side. She knows plenty of hexes and jinxes that could do the most awful of things to someone. Make her angry or get on her nerves, don't expect her to be nice about it like some people would. She appears sweet like a kiss, but can be sharp like a razor blade.
As most members of the Weasley family do, she enjoys a good game of Quidditch, but doesn't play on her house team. When she plays with her family at home she usually takes one of the three Chaser positions. To her it’s a way to escape her shy, quiet life and be a normal witch for once. And, since her family is so large, they actually have enough players for two whole teams, which makes the game some what easier for her when she plays a chaser.
Extras?::
Alessandra has the ability to read other peoples' minds at will, but doesn't really value the gift as most young witches or wizards would. She knows that if someone were to find out they would make fun of her or try to use her to get information from others.
Of course, being a Legilimens does have its bonuses. She can tell when someone is lying to her or actually telling the truth, because, as most people know, not everyone is honest.
She can also find out when her cousins and the Jordan kids are going to prank her and what the prank will be so she can avoid it. It makes that part of her life much easier and makes them wonder how she does it.
Sometimes she finds it a bit entertaining when she is bored, but at other times it is just boring because there are strange people out there that think of the most boring things.
The only person that knows of this special gift is her twin brother, though she made him promise not to tell anyone.
